Website language and redirect (Article 27 of the law)

On July 16, 2022, a number of new norms of the law "On ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language as a state language" will enter into force.

That is why we have developed a module that will help online stores meet the requirements of the law, while not losing the position of their online store, and not having to spend a lot of money on website redesign.

Module «Website language and redirect (Article 27 of the law)» - module allows for automatic redirection of clients to the selected language of the site after its installation. If a client visits the site for the first time after the module installation, they will be automatically redirected to the alternative language selected in the module settings (for example, English).

If a client is already on the site and has chosen a language using the language switcher in the upper left corner, the language they selected will be saved in their cookie for 1 year as the preferred language. The client will view the site's pages in their chosen preferred language until they change the language again using the switcher. It is important to note that these cookie settings are saved only in a specific browser and on a specific device, so on other devices and browsers, a similar selection of the preferred language needs to be made.
