Recommended products from the same category

Recommended Products from the Same Category — a module for OkayCMS that automatically completes the recommended products section on product pages with items from the same category.

If there are not enough manually added recommendations, the module automatically selects the missing number of products from the current product’s category.

Module configuration

After installing the module, the administrator can specify the number of products that should be displayed in the recommendations section.

To configure the module, open “Modules → My Modules”, select the module, enter the required number of products, and save the changes.

How the module works

The module checks how many recommended products have been manually added to the current product.

If their number is below the configured value, the remaining positions are automatically filled with products from the same category. If there are already enough recommendations, no additional products are added.

Storefront display

Automatically selected items appear in the standard “Recommended Products” section on the product page together with the products manually added by the administrator.

The module is suitable for online stores with large catalogs where manually selecting enough recommended products for every catalog item requires too much time.
