Nova Rating - product and store reviews and ratings

Nova Rating is a comprehensive product and store review management module for OkayCMS 4.5.2.

The module combines pre-moderation, a dedicated review page, homepage and category blocks, customer photos and videos, review helpfulness voting, SEO settings, automation, and Google integrations.

Nova Rating works with the standard OkayCMS product review system and manages store reviews separately without replacing the native CMS product rating.

Main features

Photos and videos in reviews

Customers can attach their own photos or videos to reviews. The following formats are supported:

• JPEG and JPG;
• PNG;
• WebP;
• MP4;
• WebM.

Up to 5 files can be attached to one review. Individual files can be removed with the × button before submission.

Uploaded files are validated by MIME type on the server and stored under randomly generated filenames.

Review helpfulness voting

Each review supports two voting options:

• 👍 helpful;
• 👎 not helpful.

A separate counter is maintained for each option. Voting is protected against simple manipulation through a device token, IP hash, rate limit, cooldown, and repeat-vote restrictions.

All reviews page

The module creates a dedicated review page with:

• Product reviews and Store reviews tabs;
• an overall rating;
• a rating distribution from 5 to 1;
• filters and sorting;
• pagination;
• product categories with the highest number of reviews;
• responsive review cards;
• customer photos and videos;
• review helpfulness voting.

Homepage and category reviews

The following blocks can be enabled separately:

• a review block on the homepage;
• recent reviews on catalog category pages.

The homepage block supports settings for the total number of cards, the number of cards per row, and the review source: products, store, or mixed mode.

By default, 4 cards per row are displayed on wide screens, with automatic adaptation for tablets and mobile devices.

SEO and multilingual support

Separate SEO fields can be configured for every active language:

• URL or slug;
• H1;
• Meta title;
• Meta description;
• Meta keywords;
• robots.

SEO settings for product reviews and store reviews are managed separately.

The module supports integration with Nova/AiServerBridge for automatic generation and translation of SEO fields.

Google Customer Reviews

The module supports the Google Customer Reviews opt-in after checkout.

The following settings are available:

• Merchant Center ID;
• delivery country;
• estimated delivery time;
• opt-in position;
• language.

A built-in runtime test verifies that the Google Customer Reviews code is present on the order page and that all required parameters are passed correctly.

Google Store widget

A separate Google Store widget is supported with configurable placement on the website.

The runtime test in the admin panel checks:

• whether merchantwidget.js is loaded;
• whether merchantwidget.start() is called;
• whether the widget code is actually present on the storefront.

TelegramNotifier integration

If Sviat/TelegramNotifier is installed and enabled, Nova Rating can use it to send notifications about new reviews.

The TelegramNotifier module itself is not modified.

Automation

Nova Rating integrates with the native Okay Scheduler. It supports automated rating operations, an execution log, parallel task locking, and protection against duplicate simultaneous execution.
