To install a template on a website, you will need a file manager, for example, FileZilla or Total Commander. In our example, we will be using FileZilla. You can also use the built-in file managers on your hosting account. Each of them has its own nuances, but as a rule, the principle of operation is the same.

You can download FileZilla for free here .

How to install a new template on OkayCMS?

1. Open the folder with the installation files.

The template folder contains subfolders with installation files, for example, design and ajax . Also, depending on the template, the folder may contain only one design subfolder, or several folders and files:

2. To install the template, go to the file manager and connect to your server. To do this, you need to fill in the Host, Username (login), Password fields (see screenshot).

This data can be found in your hosting account in the FTP managers section.

3. If you work through FileZilla, the contents of your computer will be displayed on the left side of the program window, and on the right side - your server where the site is located.

Copy the contents of the design folder of the template to be installed to the design folder on your server into a separate subfolder with the name of the new template (this will be the name of the new design on your site).

If the template folder has additional subfolders (which are not included in the design folder), for example, ajax, then you need to copy the contents of the ajax folder of the template to the ajax folder of your site.

This completes the work with the file manager.

4. Now go to the administrative panel of your site in the Design -> Theme tab, and in this tab switch from the current (old) theme to the new one.

Congratulations! You have installed a new template on your website!

We remind you that this instruction is designed for the fact that you have the default version of OkayCMS, that is, without third-party functional improvements. If you did have improvements on your site, installing a new template may hide them. In this case, additional layout will be required.

If you have any problems installing any of the templates, please contact our partners, the authors of the templates, and they will definitely help you.

High conversion and successful sales!
